Economic Development – The Waterville Economic Development Authority is a community group formed to promote, assist and facilitate economic development activities and growth in Waterville. It is comprised of five members, two of which are current council members and three members of the business community. The Waterville EDA meets on the fourth Monday of each month.
Waterville is located, seventeen miles west of Fairbault on Hwy 60, and 23 miles east of Mankato, makeing this community on opportune place to attract business interest. Waterville is the main hub of the Southern Minnesota Lakes Region, offering world class fishing, camping, biking and many winter recreational activities. We also offer an excellent state recognized education system. Waterville seeks to emphasize these quality of life opportunities while marketing to prospective business and industry.
The Waterville EDA’s primary focus includes the promotion and attraction of new and expanding business and industry throughout the region. The EDA seeks to provide increasing job opportunities to the residents of Waterville, while focusing on the quality of life amenities.
The Waterville EDA seeks to utilize numerous economic tools and incentives to spur development and enhance the business climate. The EDA offers a Revolving Loans,Micro-Loans and Tax Increment Financing, and assistance in obtaining state, federal and business financial loans or grants. The EDA is here to work with business to create a hospitable atmosphere for growth and prosperity.
